Confidential Multitenant Facility – Cambridge, MA

1920s ELEGANCE REVIVED AT MULTI-TENANT FACILITY

This confidential multitenant facility, originally built in 1913, embraces the vintage charm of the 1920s to create a welcoming and elegant environment. This building, which originally served as a Ford plant, has been transformed into a multi-use building for biotechnology, laboratory, and office use.

Red Thread furnished various spaces, including the coffee bar, lobby, wellness room, back lounge, and café seating area. The design ethos featured dramatic, vintage-looking pieces with soft, rounded edges that aligned with the building’s architectural curves. It features luxurious deep velvet in jewel tones and a consistent design that extends the stylish feel of the lobby throughout the space.

The wellness area consists of four spacious rooms, each equipped with its own shower, designed to serve as a rest and retreat space. This area maintains the same elegant feel as the lobby, seamlessly integrating the vintage-inspired aesthetic. The size and design allows it to support a significant number of users, providing a serene and rejuvenating environment that complements the historical charm of the building.

Each space was thoughtfully furnished to balance functionality with elegance, from ergonomic chairs to plush seating in the lounge. Red Thread’s careful selection of high-quality furniture ensured both beauty and durability, resulting in a timeless and sophisticated environment that honors the building’s heritage.
