LIFESTYLE GROUP: Hospitality & Amenity Spaces
Dedicated to helping create inviting hospitality and amenity spaces.
As the lines between work and home have blurred and residential design has permeated commercial design, it’s more important than ever for hospitality and amenity spaces to be welcoming, ergonomic, and support technology. Balancing form and function.
In the heart of Austin, Texas, 100 Congress stands as a testament to the seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics. Embracing the warmth and character of Austin, the building offers tenants an opportunity to immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant spirit.
Red Thread’s influence extends throughout the lobby of 100 Congress, where every detail is carefully curated. Custom lighting casts a warm glow, ergonomic task chairs unite comfort and style, and custom banquettes and rugs contribute to the inviting ambiance. Neutral tones and wooden elements create a tranquil atmosphere, while collaboration with local vendors like Deb Olsen ensures the city’s essence is woven into the space. Outdoor areas provide a pleasant escape, aligning with Austin’s warm climate, and the gym combines design and practicality, encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all tenants. Red Thread prioritized on-site visits and remote sit-tests to tailor designs aligned with Austin’s dynamic culture.

South End luxury apartments reflect trendy environment.
As one of Boston’s vibrant mixed-use luxury apartment communities, this design reflects the city’s thriving artistic community. It portrays a modern, romantic feel based on the intentional monochrome color palette with deep jewel tones. Each space was designed to be a casual environment to encourage mixing and mingling. Red Thread worked with over 80 vendors across the world from South Africa to Italy to furnish all the rooms and public spaces with swanky furniture, including the purple suede Songololo Sofa that accommodates up to 30 people. This high-end residential building boasts multiple lobbies, conference rooms, co-working spaces, roof decks, fitness center and dog washing station with pops of color incorporated throughout.

1920’s elegance revived at multi-tenant facility.
This confidential multitenant facility, originally built in 1913, embraces the vintage charm of the 1920s to create a welcoming and elegant environment. This building, which originally served as a Ford plant, has been transformed into a multi-use building for biotechnology, laboratory, and office use.
Red Thread furnished various spaces, including the coffee bar, lobby, wellness room, back lounge, and café seating area. The design ethos featured dramatic, vintage-looking pieces with soft, rounded edges that aligned with the building’s architectural curves. It features luxurious deep velvet in jewel tones and a consistent design that extends the stylish feel of the lobby throughout the space.
The wellness area consists of four spacious rooms, each equipped with its own shower, designed to serve as a rest and retreat space. This area maintains the same elegant feel as the lobby, seamlessly integrating the vintage-inspired aesthetic. The size and design allows it to support a significant number of users, providing a serene and rejuvenating environment that complements the historical charm of the building.
Each space was thoughtfully furnished to balance functionality with elegance, from ergonomic chairs to plush seating in the lounge. Red Thread’s careful selection of high-quality furniture ensured both beauty and durability, resulting in a timeless and sophisticated environment that honors the building’s heritage.

It includes 50,000+ square feet of private residential on-site amenities featuring two outdoor pools, an indoor infinity-edge pool, a fitness center with an indoor basketball court, a wellness spa, two sky lounges, an outdoor dog run and pet spa, a golf simulator, and much more.
EchelonSeaport’s Innovation Center is designed to be a space of creativity and community filled with private workspaces, conference rooms, lounge areas, and a demonstration kitchen. With programming developed in collaboration with Boston’s leading academics, incubators, and innovators, residents gather to gain inspiration and ideas from business and cultural leaders. Vendors we worked alongside with to bring this sophisticated urban design to life include Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, West Elm, Stephen Ken, Blu Dot, Jones Country Road, and others. We also created custom, standing-height communal tables to encourage socialization while the intended stadium seating support hosting events.
As part of EchelonSeaport, The Alyx at EchelonSeaport, is a separate multi-family tower featuring first-in-class apartments for rent featuring its own amenities suite. The list includes a 75-foot outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym with on-demand fitness classes, an outdoor wellness space for yoga and fitness classes, an outdoor dog run-and-play park, access to the Innovation Center and multiple resident lounges.
