Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Red Thread, our organization is firmly rooted in a strong set of core values. Throughout our history, we’ve maintained a culture of inclusion through our policies and practices.
More recently, we have embarked on initiatives to advance diversity, equity and inclusion across our organization. Our approach is clear, as outlined in our diversity statement, and our team is committed to being intentional in finding ways to make our organization better for the future.
Our Diversity Statement
At Red Thread, we believe in connections and are committed to being a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, where everyone is valued, respected, and has equitable access to growth and development opportunities.
We value diverse perspectives and unique contributions, encourage curiosity and innovative thinking, and strive to foster a culture of transparency and trust where employees feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
We will listen to all voices and model inclusive behavior as essential to our core values and critical to investing in and empowering our employees as they serve our clients and make our connections even stronger.
Hiring and Talent Management
Red Thread is committed to attracting, acquiring and retaining a diverse pool of talent. We recognize the importance in our business to ensure our employee population reflects the diversity of the markets that we support. To measure our commitment and provide evidence of this, we maintain annual Affirmative Action Plans for our nine locations.
Our commitment to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity is reflected in all our policies and procedures from recruitment and hiring to training, compensation, benefits, transfers, and promotions. This commitment is based on sound management and business practices, as well as legal requirements.
Partners & Services
Red Thread is classified by the U.S. Government as a large business. We make a significant effort to utilize diverse businesses for product purchases and as service providers.
We track diversity spend by utilizing our business system to identify qualifying businesses and to measure our success against goals. We can comply with diversity reporting requirements on a quarterly and annual basis. Red Thread utilizes MBE, WBE and SBE certified subcontractors to supplement our field crews.
