Organizations We Support
Here are some examples of organizations we are proud to have recently supported:
COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT
Habitat for Humanity
Women Build
We joined forces with NDC (a local woman-owned contractor) and others to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. Women Build is focused on the inclusion of women in the work of building homes. Women and children are the most likely to be affected by poor living conditions, and these events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities. We were proud to help our community alongside organizations like Hartford Healthcare and the State of Connecticut.
COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT
HEARTPlay
HEARTplay is a heart-centered bereavement program serving children, teens and young adults of all abilities who are coping with the life-limiting illness or death of an important person in their lives. The team at Red Thread partnered with Designtex to make “feelie” felt hearts for children to carry with them as a source of comfort. In addition, our charitable contribution supported a summer camp for 10 children dealing with bereavement.
COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT
Fairfield University Bellarmine Campus
Red Thread recently partnered with Fairfield University’s Bellarmine Campus through CoreNet and Junior Achievement of Fairfield County to support and engage with students. Fairfield Bellarmine offers a rigorous two-year associate’s degree program focused on professional preparation and academic support for under-represented students. Our team shared career journey insights, conducted mock interviews, and facilitated student participation in a CoreNet event for networking and learning about corporate real estate.
